postheadericon Biography Of K-Rino

K-Rino (real name Eric Kaiser, born on September 9, 1970) is an American rapper from Houston/Texas. He is affiliated with Horrorcore rapper Ganksta N-I-P. He founded the "South Park coalition." John Nova Lomax of the Houston Press described him as "the conscience of Houston rap, king of the Houston battle rappers," and a "true pioneer of Southern hip-hop.

K-Rino was born sept.9,1970. He grew up in a neighborhood in houston, tx called south park in an area called "the dead end". He began rapping in 1983, after being influenced by hip hop pioneers like melle mel, kurtis blow, and run-dmc. By 1984 he started participating in rap battles around the city of houston. Quickly he developed a strong underground reputation winning battles and local talent shows. Two years later, he formed a group called Real Chill with two classmates (G.T. and Preppy J) they released their first 12” single called “Rockin’It in 1987” It was also in 1987 that he created the S.P.C. (South Park Coalition) which consisted of several rappers from the area, most of whom attended school with him.K-Rino attended Sterling High School in [[South Park, with houston hip hop legend D.J. Screw. After completing High School, real chill disbanded and he was introduced to another local rapper/producer named Dope-E who was in a group called group C.O.D. K-Rino and dope-e developed a great musical chemistry and in 1988 K-Rino became a part of C.O.D. which already consisted of deuce twice/egypt-e and K.O. They released a project in 1990 titled Cummin'Out Doggin' on an upstart label called radical records. The group recorded, traveled and performed for 3 years before breaking up. In 1991,Dope-e signed with rap-a-lot records after fellow s.p.c. member Ganksta Nip had previously signed with them. This began K-rino's solo career. He reached out to his father Larry Vaughn (who had been the financial backer for real chill years earlier).

They started a new label called "Electric City Records" in 1992. In 1993, he released his debut album “Stories from the Black Book”. Stories from the black book immediately became an underground classic in the southern region eventually selling over 25,000 units independently. He followed that up with another underground success entitled Danger zone in 1995.Along the way, the S.P.C. began to grown in both popularity and membership with the additions of members like Ganksta nip, Point blank, and Murder one.

K-Rino's popularity was fueled by guest appearances on Ganksta Nip's rap-a-lot releases in the early 90's. Each member of the S.P.C. enjoyed solo success which created a worldwide interest in the group. In 1992 K-Rino became a follower and supporter of the Nation of Islam. His music reflects a lot of those beliefs and he has received both positive and negative criticism for some of the views expressed in his lyrics. Since going solo, K-Rino has released over 20 albums and has made over 300 guest appearances. Houston rap legend Scarface called him "the best rapper in Houston". In 2003, K-Rino started his own label Black Book International. (the black book part stems from his high school years where he carried around a black notebook filled with lyrics). He has toured the U.S., Europe and Australia and has gained an international fan base while becoming regarded as one of the best lyricists in hip hop.

In 2002, K-Rino took a break from solo releases to help put together a group project with fellow s.p.c. members entitled "Personal Vendetta". This was the first time people would hear the entire south park coalition on one album. That was followed by another s.p.c cd "packin' heat" in 2003.
K-Rino has worked closely with European artists as well as artists from all over the planet. He has since launched S.P.C. UK AND S.P.C.Germany. In 2008 K-Rino published 4 complete albums, containing productions from Keyza Soze: the trilogy “Triple Darkness” and the subsequent “The Blood Doctrine.” In November 2009 K-Rino’s work “Solitary Confinement” appeared along with “Speed of Thought”.
